Audi S6 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Audi S6 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, S6 zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing S6 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your Audi S6 engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

Thanks to their innovative technologies, pleasant efficiency, and incredibly supportive chairs, the freshly refreshed Audi A6 is one of our luxury sedans of middle size. We especially like the available turbocharged V6 and its feature of good fuel economy. But the performance-focused 2020 Audi S6 might look more interesting if the A6 only seems a little too bland.

A smaller turbocharged V6 is under the S6 hood, which nevertheless produces more fuel. It has an output of 444 hours compared with the 335 hp A6's V6. In 4.4 seconds only or around half a second faster than the A6, the S6 accelerates from 0 to60 mi/h, Audi claims. Other changes also provide grippy summer tires, adaptive air suspension, so you choose the preferred driving response. The S6 also has a broader sport upgrade set, not available on the A6.

Our S6 sprinted in 4.3 seconds to 60 mph on the Edmunds test track. For a medium-sized luxury sedan is impressively fast. The turbot-laden S6 V6 is strong enough to pass other cars and merge onto the highway. None seems to be less than 3,000 rpm. Rev, however, pass that, and you get an incredible swell of strength. The transmission shifts are smooth and fast.

The efficiency of emergency braking is good. It isn't the best in the class, but it's close enough. The S6 brakes across the town sound fantastic with an easy to manage firm pedal. Smoothly stopping is quick.

The Audi is nice enough to drive too. The steering wheel has a light touch, but it is fast and straight, making it simple to operate theS6 in very constrained parking lots or rewinding roads. The suspension strikes an excellent compromise between simplicity and sport.

The Audi S6 is a premium luxury mid-range sedan built on the sedate A6. Power comes from a 2.9 liter turbocharged, electrically driven V6 (444 horsepower, 443 lb-ft of torque). The 8-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive mechanism of Audi's Quattro are both standards. There are two available Audi S6 trims – Premium Plus and Prestige.

The Premium Plus trim comes with 20-inch wheels with summer tires, air suspension, sunroof, climate control with 4 zones, front sport seats with heating, 10.1-inch touchscreen, navigation setup, Bang & Olufsen audio system with 16 speakers and satellite radio, charging pad without wire, wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and wired connection to Android Auto. The S6 safety features include front and rear Parktronic, alert of lane departure, forward collision warning, the automatic brake of front emergency, 360-degree parking camera.

Also the Premium Plus trim can offer additional options – Driver Assistance package (including adaptive cruise control and assist of lane keeping), Executive package (multicolor ambient illumination, added interior leather trim, rear seats with heating, power trunklid), Black Optic package (21-inck black-colored wheels and black-colored exterior trim), S Sport package (all-wheel steering, sport exhaust, rear differential Sport, red-colored brake calipers), Luxury package (comfort front seats with ventilation and massage functions, rear sunshades), adaptive steel suspension, blind-spot display, automatic braking of rear emergency.

The Prestige trim, the top of the Audi S6 line, offers Driver Assistance package, Executive package, blind-spot display, automatic braking of rear emergency, thicker glass for noise control, air fragrance, head-up display, and door with soft close.

There are other available options from the Premium Plus – night vision and Bang & Olufsen audio system with 19 speakers.

The Prestige is the path forward. With some of his extra packs, it costs about the same as Premium Plus, and it has additional functions to boot. The Sport adaptive steel suspension, which substitutes the regular air suspension for a more connected road feel, is recommended in the choice list.
