BMW 328 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but BMW 328 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, 328 zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing 328 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your BMW 328 engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

The announcement of the latest BMW 3 Series was a significant event. We believe that in Germany, the parades are being conducted with blue and white flags flying from the windows as men in lederhosen clang steins of Franziskaner in a spoofy exclaim of festive revelry. This 3 series in America reflects the reinvention of the country's best-selling compact vehicle and the most celebrated sports sedan yet. Maybe, there is no Bavarian procession, but still, it is worth to be noticed.

Though in 2013, only the 328i and 335i sedans were revamped. The coupe and sedan stay convertible for the 2013 BMW 3 series, although the wagon is on hiatus. The new generation sedan's most significant change was the arrival of a new four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces more power and five mpg higher on the EPA combined driving cycle than the traditional, naturally aspirated inline-6 engine in the coupe and convertible. You term this a win-win.

The 2013 BMW 3 set can be offered as a sedan, coupe, or hardtop convertible. The coupe and convertible are in the previous generation's body style, although the sedan was launched on an all-new design.

The 328i sedan comes with such standard features as 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, automatic wipers, cruise control, automatic climate control with two zones, eight-way manually adjustable front seats, leatherette premium vinyl upholstery, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a trip computer, Bluetooth, the iDrive electronics interface with a 6.5-inch monitor, and an excellent sound system with a CD player, HD radio, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface. Also, it includes a rearview mirror with auto-dimming, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, driver memory functions, and a camera of rearview.

The 328i coupe varies from the other with a sport-tuned suspension and manually adjusted front seats. The convertible has a power-retractable hardtop and 10-way power front seats with the functions of memory. Both two-door body models add xenon adaptive headlights and a 60/40-split-folding rear seat.

The 328i sedan uses a more powerful variant of the same engine producing 240hp and 255lb-ft torque. You can choose the six-speed manual or the 8-speed automatic transmissions, and the latter can be transferred to a 'sport' variant with steering wheels paddle shifters. Both transmissions have an auto stop-start feature, which switches off the engine when the car stops to save fuel. The all-wheel-drive is the optional feature.

A 3,0-liter inline 6 provides 230 hp and 200 lb-ft torque for the 328i convertible and coupe. Rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual are basic; you can also choose a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. BMW predicts that a hand-equipped coupe would climb in 6.2 seconds from zero to 60 mph. EPA-estimated fuel saving for the rear-drive cut is 18/28/22 mpg independent of transmission. In every EPA driving loop, the convertible and (or) all-wheel drive hits 1 or 2 mpg lower.

During the Edmunds brake test of the brake, the 328i sedan with 18-inch summer tires stopped at 115 feet at 60 mph, while the 328i M Sport stopped at 109 feet. These distances are average for a luxury sedan of entry-level with summer tires.

The Edmunds experts do not have any questions regarding the latest four-cylinder turbo-powered engine of the BMW 328i sedan. It offers quick acceleration in energy and a good fuel economy boost.
