BMW 335 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but BMW 335 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, 335 zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing 335 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your BMW 335 engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

The latest BMW 3 Series is the reinvention of this country's best-selling sports vehicle and the most popular sports sedan of all time in America. It is not a German parade, perhaps, but still, it is worth noting.

The redesign of the BMW 3 Series concerned only with the 335i sedan. The key alteration in the latest generation sedan was the launch of a new turbocharged four-cylinder motor with more horsepower and a combined EPA drive cycle that produces five mpg more than the standard naturally aspirated inline-6 engine in the coupe and convertible. The turbocharged 335i model-6 is the same irrespective of body type or generation and is one of the most powerful and motor in the luxury segment, but consumes no fuel as much as the 4-cylinder model.

The 335i sedan comes with exclusive powertrains, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive and auto-leveling xenon headlights, automatic high beams, and a sunroof. The coupe and convertible are fitted identically, but also they contain 17-inch wheels instead and lack standard iDrive, the LED running lights, and automatic high beams. The convertible includes heat-reflective leather upholstery.

The 335is coupe and convertible offer an advanced engine, sport exhaust, a sportier suspension calibration, 18-inch wheels, exclusive elements of style, sport seats, and a sport steering wheel.

For the 335i, there are several other options, several of which are available as standalone products and as part of kits. Among them we can mention larger wheels, an automatic system of parking (available only for the sedan), headlight washers, Parktronic, entry and ignition without a key, an active steering system, front seats with heating function, rear seats with heating (for the sedan only), a heated steering wheel, a power rear sunshade (for the coupe only), the BMW Assist emergency communications system, a navigation setup (with iDrive on coupe and convertible), a head-up monitor (accessible for the sedan only), satellite radio and a Harman Kardon surround-sound audio system.

You can also add to the 335i sedan four optional equipment editions - Luxury, Modern, Sport, and M Sport. They offer different wheel designs, color schemes, trim types, seats, steering wheels, and even suspension tuning.

All 335i models have a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, no matter of body shape. The transmission and drive train options for each body type are similar to their respective 328i models. BMW predicts 5.4 seconds for the sedan for a 0-60 period, and the coupe was a little faster in Edmunds's efficiency test. Estimates of the fuel efficiency of the 335i-sedan with automatic 23/ 33/26 mpg and 20/30/23 mpg with manual are superb. With back wheel-drive and the manual, the sedan receives solid 19/28/22 mpg. The auto- and all-rotation drive decrease these figures by 1 to 2 mpg according to the body type.

The 335is has a twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder 332 lb/ft torque and 320 horsepower. It also has a temporary over-boost feature, which bumps up to 370 lb-ft peak torque. A six-speed manual transmission is regular, and an electronic seven-speed DCT manual serves as additional. A 335is manual coupe went from zero in 5 seconds to 60 mph in Edmunds's efficiency test. The fuel savings with the manual are 18/26/21 mpg and 17/24/19 mpg with DCT.
