Chevrolet Tahoe 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Chevrolet Tahoe 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, Tahoe zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing Tahoe 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your Chevrolet Tahoe engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

Those looking for a ride worthy of memorable adventures can easily consider the Chevrolet Tahoe as one of their options. This powerful, yet family-friendly, SUV can meet most, if not all, of your criteria. There are many reasons why the Tahoe can be a good pick. The engine, while strong, is relatively silent and allows the travelers to enjoy a nice experience while crossing the road. Head and cold will not be a problem, because the strong AC system is more than enough to keep the spacious interior within a comfortable temperature range. If you want to pull a trailer or boat or whatever you like, its quite impressive towing power allows it to take up to 8,600 pounds of load.

The standard engine for the Chevrolet Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V-8, putting out 355hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, reaching a max speed of 113 mph and accelerating from 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds. It comes with a 6-speed automatic two-wheel transmission, but you can make it four-wheels if you prefer. The efficiency is quite remarkable, around 20 mpg, and you can increase this number even further by choosing to run on only four cylinders, which is more than enough for a light load. If you want to make your SUV even stronger, you can get the RST performance package, which includes a power upgrade from 335hp to 420hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

One of the major concerns of drivers of this type of SUVs is the suspension, and if this is your priority, we suggest you stick to the 17” or 18” wheel options, which are the best for absorbing vibrations. There are bigger wheels out there, but the impact absorption suffers. In general, the Tahoe provides a smooth ride, with or without a towing load, and the transmission is prepared to adapt to higher cargo loads without clumsy gear shifts.

On the downside, it can take a bit too long for the SUV to catch up to your controls, especially if you want to get off the road, and the low frontal structure isn’t compatible with rocky terrain or thick weeds. On top of that, there isn’t much room for the load when compared to similar SUVs from other manufacturers.

Overall, the Tahoe is a family-friendly SUV with comfortable, roomy seats and easy access from all sides. From the exterior, it doesn’t look like anything special, but the conservative, squared design has privileged being functional over showing off. Different trims come with variations, but the basic structure remains the same. Inside, the interior is also functional, with easy access controls on the dashboard and customizable upholstery. All Tahoes come with USB ports, a screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and power outlets; you can add collision warning systems and lane-keeping assist on demand.
