Ford Focus RS 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Ford Focus RS 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, Focus RS zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing Focus RS 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your Ford Focus RS engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

If you want to have fun and have a car that delivers on an asphalt back road, then the Ford Focus RS hatchback is one of the best and most capable cars available. For a windy and twisty road, only two other cars might be able to keep up: The Porsche Turbo S or Nissan GT-R. That is where you are bound to fully reveal the capabilities of the Ford Focus RS. The major hassle is to find a back-road that is police free to enjoy your scintillating ride.

Acceleration 0-60 & Engine specifications.

The Focus RS delivers impressive amounts of speed and acceleration. This car produces 347lb of torque and 345bhp turbo four-cylinder, producing enough force to push it to a 165mph maximum speed and a 4.6-second 0-60 mph enabling you to reach a quarter mile in 13.4 seconds. Coming to a complete stop when traveling at 70 mph takes a distance of 154 feet, 4 feet shorter compared to the Super Sports RS although the lateral acceleration increases from below 1.00g to 1.04g. The car comes equipped with the capable Michelin Pilot SuperSport radial tires.

The car is available in a conventional six-speed manual transmission. It has a launch control system that helps you bolt away at ferocious speeds from the start. It, however, requires you to side-step the clutch when hammering each gear. It offers all-wheel-drive traction and combined with short gearing and smooth, crisp engagements, the car launches with super speed.

When driving the car on normal and respectable posted speed limits, the car feels unlivable. It vibrates a lot and proves to be frustrating. However, when you increase the speed to high criminal levels, the car settles down and the vibrations recede down a little bit. The car ride starts to feel comfortable and fabulous. Its steering starts to better favor the driver's needs and desires more than the roads features, bumps or tar strips.

However, asking the drivers to be driving at dangerously high speeds is a lot. They risk being fined for reckless and over the speed limit driving or having their driving licenses revoked. A good car shouldn't be delivering its best only when being driven at insane speeds. It should be a joy to ride and drive at any speed.

The cars shock absorbers are adjustable and have two settings. The stiffer of the settings feel overdamped for public roads and driving with this mode will only have you feeling cranky. The car never feels settled or even and neither will its driver and passengers. Choosing to go with a wide base tire will stop some tramlining but it won't entirely fix brutal rides on tough and rough roads.

The biggest issue of the Ford Focus RS is in its price. Performance wise. The car gets close to other better performing rear-drive coupes which are bit faster and offer better drifts without requiring special modes. With a $36775 base price, the car equals Ford Mustang GT with Recaro bucket seats and optional performance pack. With other options included, the price rises and borders those of the faster and superior-handling Chevloret Camaro SS 1LE.

The four doors and hatchback model of the car make it more livable in a single-car family. However, considering its price, there are better-riding and better-performing cars available on the market.
