Lexus RC F 0-60 times

The Lexus RC-F is among the most influential cars in its segment, with a clear sportscar, attention-caller feel that will for sure turn some heads when driving down the road. Both the engine specs and the aesthetics of the design communicate an image of power and potency, even if beyond the looks there are some things that challenge its claim to be a pavement monster.

They don’t make it a bad car by any stretch, but it does fall short to some other similar vehicles because of this one big sin that is its weight, far superior to other sports cars of its kind, and which drags back some of the actual output of its mighty engine. The powerful 5.0-liter V-8 puts out respectable 467hp, and the astonishing acceleration rockets the 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and reaches the quarter mile in 12.8 seconds, at 114 mph. Reported top speed is 170 mph. This is not the best 0-60 of the segment – again, due to the car’s massive weight – but is still very thrilling and will serve all the adrenalin any driver could ask for.

The engine is paired to a 8-speed paddle-shifted automatic that you can switch to a very functional and seamless manual if that is your thing. The pedal is highly responsible and helps you feel you are in control of this massive vehicle, even if the steering can be a bit hard if you want to try wild curves. The weight of this sportscar also plays against the performance of the handling around corners and, especially, the braking, on which you will want to keep an eye unless it wears so much that you put yourself in danger. However, suspension is more than serviceable, and helps keep bounciness and shakiness within the range for a comfortable ride on its 19” wheels. From the outside, the Lexus RC-F shouts out its intentions as an eyeball-magnet. Its aggressive lines and somewhat crowded visual design is combined to a wide range of shiny and robust colors.

The wide grille is framed with sharp angles and the vents and headlights are harmonic to the general dynamism of the car. Inside, though, the dashboard could use a bit of tuning, since it doesn’t feel as intuitive and easy to the eye as it could be. It is a little dull, and for the high-end sportscar claims of this model, it could be much catchier to the eye. The cabin is very roomy, and the boot is quite spacious – especially compared with other similar cars - but at the expense of the space for the back seats, so nobody the least bit tall can feel comfortable sitting on the back row.
