Mazda Mazda6 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Mazda Mazda6 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, Mazda6 zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing Mazda6 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

The 2017 Mazda 6 still upholds its predecessor slick and attractive look. It comes with slight but worthy improvements.

Buyers are increasingly going for the family-friendly crossover SUV. But, this is not to say that midsize sedans are losing fans. Car shoppers are still holding on to their love for them, and one car that’s still standing tall amongst the many choices worthy of consideration is the Mazda 6.

The Mazda 6’s sporty demeanor upholds Mazda’s reputation in producing some of the most stylistic cars with high performance in mind. It exhibits quite an athletic handling in addition to its reliable engine and sleek appearance. Drivers from all background will appreciate this vehicle’s confident feel on the road.

In an age where automakers are slowly doing away with the manual transmission, Mazda still offers its esteemed customers with three-pedaled options. The mid-level Touring and Base Sport come with standard six-speed-manual transmissions while the Grand Touring version takes on a standard six-speed automatic transmission. All are equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that churns 184hp. No turbo or V6 is offered. There are no massive changes expected in the 6’s fuel economy.

The 2.5T falls short on the skidpad with its grip of 0.84g compared to class-leader Honda Accord which showcases a solid 0.85g. However, the Mazda does impress in the figure-eight test where it exhibits its masculinity in just 26.7 secs at 0.68g. Its Honda counterpart, which is about 100 pounds lighter, takes 26.9 secs pulling an impressive 0.67g along the figure-eight route. However, Mazda’s performance becomes particularly stirring when fitted with the Ziex Ze001 crossover/SUV tires.

The interior is easy-going, featuring better-quality material and fewer buttons. The dash has been improved and sees a new center console that has a pleasant feel on touching. The steering wheel, however, is still covered with odd leather that shines from afar and appears to have been used already. There’s also a Volvo-like sliding lid covering a large storage bin at the console.

The human-media interface is, nevertheless, impressive. Mazda has equipped the center console with touch-sensitive options which operate when the vehicle is stationary. The system then changes to rotary-control operable when on the move. This is a brilliant idea, considering that one can easily type in their navigation routes before leaving with ease and spend less time on the screen while on the road. The only problem is that Mazda’s sat nav system isn’t good. It may have you sticking to your smartphone for directions.

The Mazda has plenty of leg room both at the front and rear. There’s, however, little headroom in the saloon. The wagon has larger headroom and features 506 liters of boot space that can be expanded to 1,648 liters when the seats are folded. It, unfortunately, comes second in scope when compared to some of its competitors such as the Skoda Superb.

Mazda has continuously abided by its commitment to always improve the Mazda 6 model. This is admirable as the 6 can be easily ranked king amongst mid-size sedans. Mazda is making smart moves in this tough race to the top. With the Honda Accord and new Chevrolet Malibu looking good as ever, this automaker is playing their game well, and it’s quite impressive.
