Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, CLK-Class zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing CLK-Class 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

If you want a comfortable driving machine for long road trips, but still want to look good doing that, then the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class might fit the bill. The CLK-Class is available in coupe and cabriolet body styles and a plethora of engines.

As with every Mercedes-Benz, there are AMG models available for the driver enthusiasts out there, that provide monstrous performance and are very fun on the open road. Depending on the model you get, the CLK-Class can be a luxurious and comfortable cruiser or a neck-snapping sports car. Either way, you’ll surely not be disappointed.

Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class Performance

If luxury is on the top of the list, then the CLK350 and CLK550 should fit the bill. The base CLK350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 that churns out 268 horsepower, enough to propel the car at a leisurely pace forward. The V6 engine is smooth and fits the luxurious driving style pretty well.

If you want a luxurious, yet fast ride, the CLK550 has a V8 engine that develops 382 horsepower. This power unit accelerates much more vigorously and produces better noise through the exhaust. It’s not sporty, but it certainly delivers a lot of power in a gentleman-style fashion. We think that this engine is the best companion to the car, as it has ample power and drives like a luxurious grand tourer.

Driver enthusiast will be best served by either the CLK63 AMG Cabriolet, that comes with a 6.2-liter V8 with 475 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, or the coupe CLK63 AMG Black Series with 500 horsepower. These models are not just way faster than the other two available, but here the suspension is tauter, the automatic gearbox shifts faster and the driving experience is more akin to that of a sports car. You’ll definitely want to try them and see if the brutal acceleration suits your driving needs because for most drivers we think the CLK550 will be fast enough.

Exterior & Interior

AS with the driving experience, the CLK-Class is different depending on the model you choose. The CLK350 and CLK550 have a more subdued look, with elegant lines that exude luxury and refinement. It’s a design that will certainly age good, something that Mercedes-Benz buyers almost universally want from their vehicle.

The AMG and Black Series models look much more aggressive, almost like a race-car for the street. This is especially true for the AMG Black Series, which has aggressive body kit that looks like it was stolen from a DTM racing machine – it will certainly catch attention on the street, but it loses from the refinement of the “normal” models.

On the inside, the CLK-Class is as elegant as on the outside, thanks to a luxurious, posh design theme, great material choice, and meticulous fit and finish. This is a cabin that will always look good, thanks to a liberal use of leather and wood throughout.

Conclusion

The Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class is a coupe or convertible vehicle that’s available in a luxurious, refined and smooth CLK350 and CLK550 versions, or CLK63 AMG and CLK63 AMG Black Series models that can compete with supercars on the track. Every model available comes with a high-quality, luxurious interior and a timeless design.
