Subaru Forester 0-60 times

Out of all performance specs, nothing but Subaru Forester 0-60 times can better speak about the vehicle's temper. While horsepower and torque blow smoke in the eyes, Forester zero to sixty specs and average time to run a quarter mile are pretty straightforward metrics allowing to compare against its competitors.

Very often there is no chance of doing Forester 0-to-60 test personally and making conclusions from the experience of the other drivers is the last thing you want.

Conducting a trustworthy test drive requires following a strict methodology that is intended to eliminate the inconsistent circumstances like weather, tires, surface, engine temperature. It is always better to leave it for professionals.

Increase Horsepower

The cold air part is also important in making more power. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen molecules than warm air does. So if you can get cooler air into your Subaru Forester engine, your car will be able to mix more fuel with that air, making more power. Combine that with the more air through the larger and less restrictive filter and intake tube and you can see up to a 15-20 horsepower increase. K&N has even reported an estimated increase of 56.96 horsepower out of the 57-2571 intake for 2007-2009 Shelby GT500!

Introduction

Subaru rarely disappoints its die-hard fans, and this is evident considering that the new Subaru Forester 2018 model is one of their bestselling models. Looking at the size, the forester falls between the Crosstrek and the Outback and has standard Subaru features like the all-wheel drive. However, something that stands out with this model is that it the only Subaru crossover fitted with a turbocharged engine.

The engine and 0-60 Times

With the forester 2018 model, you have the choice between two engines. You can have the 2.5 liters flat-four engine, with 170hsp, 174 pounds per foot of torque. This is the standard option and comes paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT(26/32mpg). On the other hand, there is the 2.0 ltr turbo four engine, with 250hsp and258 lb-ft of torque. This version is only paired with the CVT similar to the one in the WRX sports sedan, but it is less powerful. During test runs by Motor Trend, the 2017 2.0 XT model, got from 0-60mph in under 6.8 seconds and decelerated from 60 in 115 feet. Impressive right?

The Interior and Exterior Features

The Subaru 2018 model is a sturdy car, but the seats are not particularly comfortable. The driver's seat puts you in a high position. There is plenty of elbow room, and a dashboard that offers makes the front area of the cabin quite spacious. The rear seat is also pretty comfortable and can fold over. When it comes to comfort, we give the Forester a clean 7(read how we rate the cars). However, it is worth mentioning that this model comes with heated seats, and the seats in the XS model are leather. Although this car might look a bit boxy, this shape allows for ample boot space. The interior of the automobile comes with matte and metallic accents.

The windows in this car are horizontal and well-shaped. When this is combined with the spacious interiors and a high driving position, you get excellent outward visibility. The windscreen installed is regular, but the satellite navigation system could be improved. The rear suspension installed in this car is self-leveling, allowing you to load up the trunk without tipping the car backward.

The controls in this car are easy to spot and easy to use. The Forester 2.5i premium comes with automatic climate controls and a 7.0-inch Starlink Multimedia Plus infotainment system. In the 2.0XT Touring model, you will find dual-zone climate control, navigation with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and a Harman Kardon audio system.

When looking at this automobile from the outside, you will notice that the 2018 Subaru Forester has retained some of its old school designs. The various models spot anything between 17-inch alloy wheels to 18-inch black aluminum wheels. However, it is still more elegant and refined than its predecessors. It has projector headlights and LED taillights, and the hood has structured lines in the center and along the sides.

The takeaway

This car is an SUV, although appearing to be chunky, has some beautiful styling. The only issues we have with this model is that the 2XT model has too many things going on at the front with the vents, grilles accents, and lights. However, overall, this car is a sensible buy and can be compared to its close rival the Toyota RAV4.
